Kotputli News | Driver arrested for transporting illegal doda chura in container
A container containing 18 kg 600 grams of doda chura was seized.

As per the instructions of Jaipur Range IG Umesh Chandra Dutta, SP Dr. Rajeev Pachar, continuous action is being taken by the police against those who sell, transport and buy illegal drugs in the area. In the same sequence, on the instructions of ASP Vidha Prakash, DSP Gautam Kumar, Sarund Police Station police team under the leadership of SHO Indraj Singh, while taking major action on the highway, arrested a person who was transporting illegal doda chura in a container and seized the container. SHO Indraj Singh told that on April 23, the local police station raided the house of Ravi Kumar's son Nitesh Kumar Sharma in Sarai Mohalla of Kotputli and seized 04 kg 600 illegal doda poppy and arrested the accused Ravi Kumar. In this regard, a case was registered at Kotputli police station and the investigation was handed over to Sarund SHO Indraj Singh. During the investigation, the accused Ravi Kumar Sharma told in the interrogation that he had given the said Doda post container no. Purchased from JK 08 M 6508 driver Manjeet Kumar. On which the police started searching for the said driver and container. Meanwhile, on April 27, information was received from the informer that the said container was coming from Delhi. On this, blockade was done at village Gordhanpura stand on the highway, then the container came from Delhi side. When stopped and checked, 18 kg 600 grams of doda kept in a plastic bag was found stuffed in the cabin of the container. Which was being illegally filled and transported by the said driver Manjit Kumar. On this, the police seized the said illegal doda and seized the container and registered a case under the NDPS Act and arrested the accused Manjit Kumar (47), son of Jagannath Valmiki, resident of Bharata, Ganeshpur police station, Malpur district, Hoshiarpur, Punjab. Continuous research is being done by the police from where the said doda chura was brought and where it was to be supplied.
